Getting here

La Chaumière Mountain Lodge is just ten minutes walk from the town centre and the picturesque Lac des Gaillands with its famous rock climbing crags. Just 50 metres away from us are the train and bus stops. Both are easy to use and will deliver you to each of the different ski areas or sporting venues in the Valley. If you come by car, the hotel has its own parking, which is free for our guests.

Mont Blanc Express Train

The SNCF line serves all the villages from Saint Gervais-le Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland), passing through Servoz, Les Houches, Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine. One train approximately every hour. The SNCF line from Servoz to Vallorcine is free of charge for holders of the Carte d'Hôte pass, which is given to you on your arrival.

Chamonix bus

Regular urban transport serves all the Valley and ski areas. It is free from Servoz to Le Tour for holders of the Carte d'Hôte pass or a ski-lift pass.

Navettes : les Mulets

These free mini-buses make it easy to get around in the city centre. Departures every 10 minutes in the high season.

Carte d'Hôte pass

You will get your own Carte d'Hôte –pass on your arrival to La Chaumière. This pass gives you free travel with buses and SNCF trains for internal journeys, including between Servoz and Vallorcine. In addition you will get reduced rates e.g. for admission to museums and the swimming pool.

Easy acces to Chamonix Mont-Blanc

Just an hour from Geneva! The motorway arrives at the edge of Chamonix Mont-Blanc and La Chaumière Mountain Lodge is just a stone's throw from the centre of town.
We can of course sort out transfers for you or send you easy directions if you are coming by car.
